About Global Product
Breville’s philosophical position on product development is that it is very much an evolving dialogue between what is desirable for the customer, technically possible to achieve, and commercially viable to deliver. Therefore no one discipline can impose its will on the other. Innovation at Breville is every inch a team sport! You’ll get to work with an amazing array of passionate development specialists, from designers and engineers to food specialists, UX teams and digital architects in a fun and collaborative environment. We have always had a collaborative, iterative and people focused method for developing products and have recently documented Phase 1 of a bolstered development process to help us scale as we grow (the team has doubled in size in the last five years). We want to move from disciplined, lean experimentation to develop and vet ideas; to iterative, agile development to establish product feasibility and work up detailed designs; to a more waterfall based execution to industrialise products for manufacture. In this spirit, the Process Development Manager will play a key role in defining how Breville can best innovate, collaborate and develop award winning products that help people master moments in the kitchen.
As the Process Development Manager for Breville Global Product, your role requires managing the ongoing design, development, implementation, measurement and coaching of process as it relates to Breville’s Global Product department. Through your recruitment and management of a Programme Manager / Process Engineer you will manage, in coordination with the Senior Leadership Team, the ongoing design and documentation of process systems and tools to increase efficiency and collaboration within the department. Using enthusiastic and experienced coaches recruited and managed by you, you will lead training and coaching initiatives that promote understanding of and adherence to the process throughout the department. Communication will be key to the success of your role and you will be responsible for communicating the vision and detail of each new process initiative as well designing its roll out and the way relevant documents are accessed and stored to maximise employee engagement. You will also help create and manage suitable measurement tools to learn from experience and track the uptake of process initiatives.
Depending on your passion and experience there may also be scope within this role to be involved with functions such as Learning and Development, Resource Management or Metrics.

Qualifications and experience
- 7 Yrs + of Programme Management, Change Management or Process Design
- Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting or Logistics
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall product development methodologies
- Exposure to Scrum and coaching methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, work unsupervised, and help drive cultural change
- Exposure to hardware and software product development environments
- Proven track record of building stakeholder engagement, communication and successful implementation of initiatives
- Financial acumen and exposure to measurement tools
