Breville’s philosophical position on product development is that it is very much an evolving dialogue between what is desirable for the customer, technically possible to achieve and commercially viable to deliver. Therefore no one discipline can impose its will on the other. Innovation at Breville is every inch a team sport! You’ll get to work with an amazing array of passionate development specialists, from designers and engineers to food specialists, UX teams and digital architects in a fun and collaborative environment. We work to develop products in a hybrid agile environment and have been deliberate in the way we’ve arranged our product development process. We move from disciplined experimentation to develop and vet ideas; to iterative development to establish product feasibility and work up detailed designs; to execution to plan to industrialise products for manufacture. In this spirit, Product Management at Breville is no less dynamic and collaborative and plays a key role throughout the development process.
The role is key in assisting the Portfolio GM’s, Cross Functional Managers and project teams with planning and project administration tasks required during the development of new products. This includes ensuring all documents, plans and financial information are consistently kept up to date and are accessible to key personnel via reports in centralised systems in line with the NPD process.
Qualifications and Experience
- Approximately 2 to 3 years ideally working in a new product development environment
- An ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, being organised and working to deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office suite particularly MS Project, Excel, Sharepoint.
- Experience with online collaboration tools eg Confluence, Teams etc
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Pro-active attitude and a team player
- Keen attention to detail and numbers
- Analytical thinking and ability to spot opportunities for change and improvement
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage and work to company deadlines
