Product Development Engineers

Tertiary studies in and sound theoretical knowledge of either Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
Experience dealing with Chinese manufacturers
Strong experience in:

Materials Engineering and small appliance design
Managing appliance safety approvals through Compliance Laboratories
Technical Engineering documentation, product specifications, Bills of Materials, etc.
Engineering Measurement Systems and Electrical Laboratory testing
Manufacturing Engineering

Project Management
Statistical analysis and applied quality auditing
Industrial Engineering design, component detailing, drafting / engineering drawing, 3D CAD modelling
Prototyping and workshop practice.

At least 5 years commercial experience working on embedded systems
A bachelor degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Must be willing to spend time overseas
An in-depth understanding of C language and aspects of embedded software development such as;

Degree qualified (Industrial Design)
Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience
Conceptual design skills (lateral approach, value analysis, intuitive, brain storming)
CAD literacy (2D drawing, 3D solid modelling, graphic design software, image manipulation)
Detail design skills (component design, design for manufacture/ reliability)
Hand model making (concept models, photographic models)
Prototyping (handmade, rapid prototypes, outsource)
Visualisation (hand sketching, 2D drafting, rendering)
Manufacturing (assembly, injection moulding, metal pressing) and materials selection experience
